Venice, Italy floods about 100 times a year, usually during the fall and winter seasons. 2/3 of the biggest floods in Venice's history occurred in just the last 20 years, raising significant environmental concerns. SAR imagery can provide accurate data about flooding to help inform conversations about tourism activity and environmental change in the city.
